About

Sarah Meek is a Professional Vocalist based in South Wales. Originally from Cheshire, Sarah studied Classical piano and gained a Music degree at Bangor University. During her time at University, she became more interested in the Human Voice and the freedom of improvisation. This led to continuing her studies gaining a Jazz Masters Degree at The Royal Welsh College of Music studying Vocals.

Since completing her studies, Sarah has stayed in Cardiff to continue taking part in the vibrant local Jazz scene. Her powerful and versatile delivery, coupled with an engaging stage presence and wide musical knowledge, has found Sarah regular audiences around the country and internationally, drawing confidently from an ever-increasing palette of styles with some of the country's top musicians.

Sarah's most recent efforts have included forming her own Jazz Quartet playing original compositions and arrangements. Also, joining the Dave Cottle Trio to take on the Ella Fitzgerald songbook in their show Ella and Louis.

Outside of Jazz music, Sarah is becoming more and more involved in The Community, working with people with mental health, learning and physical disabilities through Music. As well as being a performing Jazz Artist, Sarah hopes to one day study and pursue a career in Music Therapy.

"very impressed by Sarah Meek’s performance which combined expressiveness with an impressive technical ability. "
